Footwear Friends at Leicester Rugby Club to see them play Northampton Saints

A party of 30 attended this fixture following an excellent and extremely liquid lunch at The Belmont Hotel in Leicester. Ivor Tilley who had brought a party of Northampton supporters very kindly donated a case of 12 bottles of wine which raised over £300 in a sweep on the total points scored in the match which was won by a lady member of Simon Goodman's party from Norwich. Their mini bus ride home I'm sure was more than convivial.

The match was a joy and a high scoring, full bloodied encounter in front of a sell-out crowd saw Leicester finally prevail by 29pts to 15 although the final score flattered Leicester as the match was very close almost to the end. We were seated in the brand new Caterpillar Stand and all said what a tremendous view was had of the game from this huge stand.

I hope to organise something similar next year as I am sure those who came will want to participate again and perhaps talk others who did not make it to support the charity but at the same time have a really good time at the event.
